Finkbine Golf Course

2026 Course Renovation | Driving Range | Lessons

Named after W.O. Finkbine, who donated the 200 acres of rolling Iowa terrain to the University of Iowa and plays home to the University of Iowa men’s and women’s golf teams, Finkbine Golf Course is under a comprehensive transformation. The scope of the renovation marks the most notable change to Finkbine since the course relocated in the early 1950s. Construction began at the conclusion of the 2025 golf season and will continue throughout 2026. The privately funded project will be managed by Troon as part of their agreement with the Iowa Athletics Department. Finkbine Golf Course is owned by the University of Iowa’s Athletic Department and is managed and operated by Troon Golf, LLC.

Bump’s Restaurant

Bump’s is CLOSED THROUGH THE 2026 CALENDAR YEAR while our golf course renovation project, with plans to refresh and reopen Bump’s Restaurant—better than ever—in 2027!

The restaurant is named for Chalmers “Bump” Elliott, who was director of athletics at the University of Iowa from 1970-91, an era when the Hawkeyes won 34 Big Ten and 11 NCAA championships. Elliott passed away Dec. 7, 2019.

Nagle Family Clubhouse

The Nagle Family Clubhouse is located to the south and west of the previous clubhouse along Melrose Avenue. The two-level facility features a larger pro shop, Bump's Restaurant and Bar, an outdoor patio, locker rooms, underground cart storage, and the Nagle Room—a conference room and private dining space.
